Praised for his “well-timed comic relief” and as an “exceptionally gifted singing actor,” Cody Ryan Arthur brings versatility and range to performances across opera, concert, and crossover repertoire.
Based in Houston, Texas, Cody is performing regularly on operatic, concert, and choral stages across the United States and abroad. His repertoire spans Baroque through contemporary works, with performances ranging from fully staged opera to oratorio and ensemble collaboration. He has appeared with organizations including Houston Grand Opera, Bach Society Houston, Tactus, Opera in the Heights, Harmonia Stellarum, and Theater Under the Stars.
A recent Third Place winner of the National Oratorio Competition hosted by the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Cody is especially drawn to concert and sacred repertoire, while also maintaining an active presence in musical theater, gospel, and jazz. In addition to performing, he teaches a private voice studio in Houston and enjoys connecting with audiences in both large-scale and intimate performance settings.
